<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating hair deformation by which good straightening properties are imparted to the hair while preventing a frizzy states of hairtips in the hair after the treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating the hair deformation includes a step (I) for coating a one-pack type hair treatment obtained by formulating at least one kind of a sulfite salt and a hydrogensulfite salt, and having a pH of 6-10 on the hair, and a step (II) for imparting the straightening properties to the hair by heating the hair after the step (I) to >220°C.
