<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high speed operation processing for a viewpoint conversion, and eliminate necessity of holding an image in a memory during the viewpoint conversion. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a camera parameter and a virtual camera parameter, a conversion parameter operation unit 106 calculates a first formula which represents projection from a first point expressed by image coordinates on an image plane viewed from a real viewpoint by a camera 101 to a point on a predetermined reference plane, and a second formula which represents projection from the point on the reference plane to a second point expressed by image coordinates viewed from virtual imaging device, further calculates a third formula from the first and the second formulas which represents projection from the first point to the second point, and operates a transformation matrix from the third formula for transforming an imaging video signal of the camera 101 to a virtual imaging video signal of a virtual camera.
