<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine in which it is possible to enlarge the shape dimensions of a step disposed in a cab without increasing the slewing radius of the machine. <P>SOLUTION: Concerning a mini shovel provided with a step for facilitating entering and exiting a cab 6, a part of the step is provided with a projecting part 12a, which projects further outward than an opening plane 16 that forms an entrance/exit 20, and a part of a door 5 is provided with a convex part 5a that covers the projecting part 12a of the step when the door 5 is closed. A floor 11 of the cab 6 includes a flat section 11a disposed on the front side of an operator's seat 4 and a step section 11b continuously connected with the flat section 11a and disposed at the entrance/exit 20 side. The interior of the cab 6 is further provided with a flange section 12 flush with the step section 11b of the floor 11 and continuously connected with the step section 11b.
