<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for improving a durability and stability accompanied by a high definition or acceleration in case of using the toner having a low temperature fixability. <P>SOLUTION: The toner comprises toner particles and inorganic fine particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, a release agent and titanium oxide fine particles. The titanium oxide fine particles are obtained by adding an alkali to a titanium tetrachloride aqueous solution to precipitate a titanium hydroxide, heating the precipitated titanium hydroxide in an aqueous medium to produce a titania in a slurry state, extracting the produced titania in the slurry state from the aqueous medium, subjecting the titania to a surface treatment with an alkoxy silane compound without drying, followed by heating and drying. Primary particles of the titanium oxide fine particles have a number average particle size of 5 nm or more and 40 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
