<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve solidification uniformity of a solidification shell by locally deforming and cooling a mold plate. <P>SOLUTION: A mold for continuous casting 1 includes: a copper plate 31 provided on the surface side of the mold plate 12; a back frame 32 provided on the rear side of the mold plate 12, which supports the copper plate 31; a plurality of cooling units 40 constituted by longitudinally and laterally dividing at least the center part of the back frame 32 into the blocks, which cools the rear surface of the copper plate 31 using a refrigerant; and a plurality of extruding mechanisms 50 for individually extruding the plurality of cooling units 40 in the plate thickness direction of the copper plate 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
