The mode selector device for an electrical switch actuator comprises a selector, the lever (13) of which allows access to five service positions, including one motorized-actuation free switching state and two limited-switching states, allowing only closure of the contacts or grounding, both with motorized actuation and with manual actuation, which is chosen depending on the circumstances. Symbols corresponding to the mode of switching and the mode of actuation appear in the openings (31, 32) of the lever (13) for each service position. Many locking and security devices may be added so as to minimize the risks of an incorrect operation.
