<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the deodorant effect of clothing by detecting the state of a washing liquid and by optimizing the amount of atomization for spraying on the clothing in a drying step and the time for spraying. <P>SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine comprises washing liquid state detecting means 10 for detecting the state of a washing liquid in an outer tank 2, a blower fan 12 for blowing a drying air in a drum 3, heating means 11 for heating the drying air blew by the blower fan 12, an electrostatic atomizer (atomizer) 14 for atomizing liquid, and a control section 15 for controlling a motor 4 and others to control the washing and drying operations.
