<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the feeling of incompatibility by making the distortion of picked-up images generated due to the time difference of imaging timing inconspicuous when acquiring moving image information in a CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor by a rolling shutter. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope system includes an endoscope 11 provided with an imaging part 21 and an external controller 45 to which the endoscope 11 is freely detachably connected and the signals of the picked-up images generated by an imaging part 21 are input. The imaging part 21 includes a plurality of two-dimensionally arrayed light receiving parts and a scanning drive part 55 for performing scanning read of repeating the read of charge signals from the respective light receiving parts along a main scanning direction for two or more times in a sub scanning direction. The scanning drive part successively performs the scanning read of the lines of the light receiving parts arranged in the main scanning direction respectively in the sub scanning direction in a first imaging mode, and successively performs the scanning read of the lines of the light receiving parts while skipping predetermined lines in the sub scanning direction in a second imaging mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
