The rammer (40) has a striking roller (9) supported at a striking arm (8) that is swivelable between an upper position and a lower position via a piston-cylinder-unit (10) to cause up-and down movement of a percussive tool, during swiveling movement of the striking arm with the striking roller. The striking arm is swivelably supported around a pivotal axis (5) that is provided as a rotation axis of a striking rope-deflection roller. The piston-cylinder-unit is arranged between the striking roller and the striking rope-deflection roller. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a construction equipment comprising a striking tool (2) a method for operating a rammer.
