Flexible packaging comprises at least two different material layers, which are connected by an adhesive layer comprising a carbodiimide or a mixture many carbodiimides (I) or (II). Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the flexible packaging, comprising knife coating the adhesive layer made of polymeric systems comprising polyamides, copolyamides, polyolefins, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, polyurethanes, thermoplastic polyurethanes, polyesters, polyacrylates and/or vinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymers, polyester urethanes, acrylates, polyether or polyether urethanes, (I), (II), and optionally additional additives on the surface of at least one material layer, placing additional material layers on the adhesive layer, and curing the adhesive layer; and (2) use of the polymeric system for bonding at least two different material layers for producing the flexible packaging.
