PURPOSE: A tilting train control system and a control method thereof are provided to steadily run a tilting train by periodically checking the state of a tilting device in running a train. CONSTITUTION: A running speed detector(120) detects the running speed of a train. A tilting device(200) makes the train run by tilting in driving on a curved railway. A tilting angle calculating unit(130) produces the tilting angle of the train based on a data on a curved railway and the speed of the train. A tilting device checking unit(140) periodically tests the state of the tilting device. A controlling unit(150) controls the operation of the tilting device according to the result checked in the tilting device check unit.
