SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PACKET LOSS COMPENSATION ON THE VOIP SERVICE

PURPOSE: A system and method for processing a packet loss in a VoIP service are provided to supply a PLC(Packet Loss Compensation) function to a VoIP application. CONSTITUTION: A packet loss detector(10) analyzes an RTP packet received from a network interface and detects the lost packet among speech packets. A speech frame buffer(20) transmits a previously stored speech frame and a newly received speech frame to a speech frame recovery engine(30) when the packet loss is received from the packet loss detector. The speech frame recovery engine receives a speech frame from the speech frame buffer and generates a new packet which replaces the lost packet.
