PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to arrange a reflection barrier film structure by successively laminating a plurality of different thin films, thereby minimizing a surface reflection rate. CONSTITUTION: A first conductive type crystalline silicon substrate(201) is prepared. A second conductive type semiconductor layer(203) is arranged on the upper part of the substrate. A first antireflection film(204) and second antireflection film(205) with different reflective indices are successively laminated on the semiconductor layer. The first antireflection film is comprised of a silicon nitride layer. The second antireflection film is comprised of a hydrogenated amorphous carbon layer.
