<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature distribution measuring instrument using an optical fiber, the instrument that prevents occurrence of a measurement error caused by temperature change of a body of the temperature distribution measuring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature distribution measuring instrument comprises: an optical fiber; a light source for emitting an optical pulse to the optical fiber; a light-receiving part for receiving Raman scattering light from the optical fiber to convert it to an electrical signal; a thermometer for measuring temperature in the vicinity of a predetermined position of the optical fiber; a temperature data processing part for calculating an average value of measurement values of the thermometer within a predetermined period of time; and a calculation part for calculating a temperature distribution of the optical fiber based on a electrical signal using the average value as a reference temperature.
