<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform shift-sorting even when the length of a sheet in the width direction is shorter than a predetermined length. <P>SOLUTION: A finisher 500 includes: a lateral position sensor 1104 that detects an edge of the sheet P in the width direction; a lateral position correcting device 1001 that moves the sheet P in the width direction by moving in the width direction; and a finisher control part 501 that controls the lateral position correcting device 1001 to move based on the result of the edge detection of the sheet P by the lateral position sensor 1104. The finisher 500 performs the shift-sorting of a plurality of sheets with an image formed thereon by a copier body 10. When determining that the length of the sheet P in the width direction notified from the copier body 10 is shorter than the predetermined length L (S802 NO), the finisher control part 501 does not detect the edge of the sheet P by the lateral position sensor 1104 (S811) but controls the lateral position correcting device 1001 to move the predetermined length L (S812 to S815). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
