<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read image with stable image quality while preventing increase of consumption power. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary head 5 as an image reading unit comprises: a line sensor 20 that makes it possible to read image of a manuscript copy 75 in the one-dimensional direction by having an imaging device with one-dimensional arrangement; a line light source unit 25 for irradiating light toward a reading area of image by the line sensor 20; and a rotary head 6 for holding the line sensor 20 and the line light source unit 25, which are relatively rotatable for the manuscript copy 75 with a rotating shaft RA parallel to arrangement direction of imaging device being as the center of the rotation. An overhead type image reading apparatus 1 comprises: the rotary head 5; and an arm 10 which is fixed on a loading surface 70 loading the manuscript copy 75 and supports the rotary head 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
