SCROLL-TYPE FLUID MACHINE

A scroll-type fluid machine in which spiral bodies (50, 52) and end plates (8a, 10a) are brought into sliding contact with one another in the space between the fixed and moving scrolls (8, 10) by means of tip seals (56, 58) provided to the spiral bodies so as to thereby partition off a working fluid pressure chamber (60) between the spiral bodies, wherein the spiral body of at least one scroll has a base portion (62) comprising concave curved surfaces (64) at the baseplate-side edges of the spiral body, and the tip seal of the other scroll has fillets (70) comprising first convex curved surfaces (72) which are in sliding contact with the concave curved surfaces at the corner of the tip (56a) of the tip seal.
