<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite optical film comprising an optical film, which contains an inorganic layered compound, is useful as a so-called c plate and prevent lowering of contrast of a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a composite optical film where a first optical film, a first adhesive layer, a second optical film and a second adhesive layer are laminated in this order and where the second optical film comprises a mixture of an inorganic layered compound not modified with an organic substance and a cellulose derivative having a substitution degree of the hydroxyl group of 2.1 to 3.0 and a number average molecular weight in the range of 25,000 to 120,000; a production method thereof; and a liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
