PURPOSE: An automatic set top box power source control device is provided to automatically implement power control without turning on a set top box. CONSTITUTION: A power controller(120) extracts power control firmware of a data storage unit(110). The power controller automatically controls power of a set top box based on a motion sensing result. The power controller recognizes a power standby mode signal.
