PURPOSE: An ignition delay device of a fuse and a method thereof are provided to accurately detonate a missile at a target regardless of flying time difference of missiles according to speed change of missiles. CONSTITUTION: An ignition delay device comprises a collision switch(240), a controller(230), and a ignition circuit(250). When a missile collided into a target object, the collision switch generates a collision signal. When the missile is fired, the controller receives a missile launching signal. The controller calculates the time-of-flight of the missile based on the missile launching signal and collision signal. The controller calculates the detonation delay time based on the time-of-flight. The controller generates a detonation signal detonating the fuse of the missile. The ignition circuit ignites fuse with a detonation signal.
