<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitting system, an optical transmitting apparatus, and a traffic control method that, even when an electric buffer is designed so as to match a maximum traffic amount or less prioritizing a utilization efficiency of the electric buffer, avoid a buffer overflow to prevent signal deterioration from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: A determination control circuit X104 in the X-th optical transmitting apparatus X0 monitors an available state of an electric buffer X102. In a case equal to or less than a threshold value in which the electric buffer X102 is available, the determination control circuit X104 transmits, to the (X-1)-th optical transmitting apparatus, instruction information for instructing the (X-1)-th optical transmitting apparatus to convert an optical signal addressed to the X-th optical transmitting apparatus among optical signals transmitted from the (X-2)-th optical transmitting apparatus into an electric signal and transmit the electric signal after storing it in the electric buffer 102, while in a case greater than the threshold value in which the electric buffer 102 is available, the determination control circuit X104 transmits, to the (X-1)-th optical transmitting apparatus, instruction information for instructing the (X-1)-th optical transmitting apparatus to transmit the optical signal addressed to the X-th optical transmitting apparatus among the optical signals transmitted form the (X-2)-th optical transmitting apparatus without converting it into an electric signal and storing the electric signal in the electric buffer X102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
