<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternative raw material for enzyme-treated heme iron (HIP) as a substitute for mammal blood. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing, from fish blood, a complex containing a peptide and heme iron derived from a heme protein. The method includes the steps of producing an aqueous solution of the heme protein by denaturation treatment of fish blood containing heme protein, decomposing the denatured heme protein by protease treatment of the aqueous solution to obtain a protease treated liquid containing a complex containing the peptide and heme iron derived from the heme protein, and performing ultrafiltration of the treated liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
