<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial film exhibiting barrier properties against moisture and/or oxygen, capable of sealing and having good optical properties such as haze and high glossiness. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the antimicrobial polymeric film which comprises a polymeric substrate layer, whose polymer coating on the surface has a thickness of 0.01-14.0 μm, and which comprises an antimicrobial compound in an amount of 0.1-50 wt.% of the coating layer, wherein the coating has a heat-seal strength of 39.4-984.3 g/cm when heat-sealed, and/or has a water vapor barrier such that the water vapor transmission rate of 0.01-10 g/100 inch<SP POS="POST">2</SP>(one inch=6.4516 cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>)/day and the oxygen transmission rate of 0.01-10 cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>/100 inch<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/day/atm, the antimicrobial polymeric film exhibits >1 logarithmic decrement in microorganism proliferation, and the thickness of the coating layer is less than the volume distribution-average particle diameter of the antimicrobial particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
