<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement for lightning detection for detecting any lightning on a wind turbine by a simple method, in other words, by taking into consideration the cost aspect. <P>SOLUTION: A wind turbines includes an ozone sensor. The ozone sensor is located close to a component of the wind turbine. The component is constructed and arranged in a way that a lightning current resulting from a lightning strike on the wind turbine is conducted through the component. The component is constructed and arranged in a way that the lightning current results in corona discharge, generating a prescribed amount of ozone gas, which is detected by the ozone sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
