<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image rewriting speed. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display portion in which multiple pixels, multiple gate signal lines and multiple source signal lines are arranged in a matrix; a scan line driving circuit having a function of controlling the timing to select any one of the multiple gate signal lines; and a signal line driving circuit having a function of controlling the timing to output a first signal to all the multiple source signal lines and then output a second signal to any one of the multiple source signal lines in a period during which the scan line driving circuit selects any one of the multiple gate signal lines. Each of the multiple pixels includes a transistor and a display element which is sandwiched between a pixel electrode and a common electrode and has a memory property. A first terminal of the transistor is electrically connected to any one of the multiple source signal lines, a second terminal of the transistor is electrically connected to the pixel electrode, and a gate of the transistor is electrically connected to any one of the multiple gate signal lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
