BEARING DEVICE OF AN ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR DRIVING VEHICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a contamination inside a unit and exhaustion of lubrication oil by effectively preventing lubrication oil from leaking into the unit through a labyrinth.

SOLUTION: In a bearing device of an electric motor for driving vehicles, a lubrication room 17 is formed on the outer side of a bearing 6 fitted and held in a bearing box 5; a lubrication storage 19 is formed in communication with the lower side of the lubrication room 17; an oil supply disc 12 fixed on a rotator axis 8 is arranged within the lubrication room 17; and circular oil tempering rooms 14 and 15 surrounding the rotator axis 8 are formed on the inner side of the bearing 6 of the bearing box 5. The lower side of the oil tempering rooms 14 and 15 are in communication with the lubrication storage 19 via oil tempering holes 22 and 23 to store lubrication oil to a level that a part of the oil supply disc 12 is soaked in the lower part of the lubrication room 17 and the lubrication oil reaches halfway of the oil tempering holes 22 and 23.
