The device has a helical assisting spring (4) whose one end is fixed with an upper shell (10) that is provided with a clipping groove (11) for clipping the device on a pin (5). Another end of the spring is fixed with a lower shell (20) connected to a clutch pedal (1). The groove is inclined with respect to a longitudinal axis (X) of the spring. The groove is opened on an upper shell face arranged opposite a space in which a foot (P) of a user of a vehicle evolves in release position, such that involuntary support of the foot on the upper shell presses the bottom of the groove.
