PURPOSE: An emergency release device for a railway vehicle is provided to allow passengers to manually open a door of a railway vehicle and escape from an emergency state. CONSTITUTION: An emergency release device for a railway vehicle comprises a main body(110), a handle(130), and a winding roller(140). A cover member(120) is installed on the front side of the main body. The handle is attached to the front side of the main body and allowed to rotate. The winding roller is installed on the back side of the main body and rolls a cable(C). When the handle is pulled, the winding roller is rotated to roll the cable and release a door engine locking device.
