PURPOSE: A system and method of converting a short message for supporting automatic update of a mobile housekeeping book are provided to reconfigure the different type of a short message which is received from all types of finance institute into a predetermined form. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(121) receives a short message including the finance transaction information from at least one financial institution server. A short message converting unit(122) converts the short message into a predetermined type. A transmission unit(124) transmits the converted short message into a portable terminal. The short message converting unit converts the short message to consistantly organize finance transaction information with each short message.
