PURPOSE: A parking brake is provided to effectively prevent the degradation of braking performance by preventing the penetration of water or foreign material to a caliper housing inside or a shaft portion. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake comprises a disk, inner and outer disk pads, a caliper housing(20), a piston, an actuator, a lever member(60), a sealing member. The disk is revolved with the wheel of a vehicle. The inner and outer disk pads are movably installed in a carrier which is combined in the car body in order to be compressed in the inner/ outer side surface of a disk. The caliper housing is movably installed in the carrier and operates the inner disk pad. The piston is retractably installed inside the caliper housing. The actuator is installed in the caliper housing in order to operate the piston. The lever member is combined in the external shaft portion of the caliper housing in order to connect the actuator with a parking cable. The sealing member is arranged in the circumference of the shaft portion between the caliper housing and the lever member. The sealing member comprises a housing joint(110), a support rib(120), a shaft support(130) and a lever member support(140).
