<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily perform input operations with a method desired by the user, without being affected by model differences. <P>SOLUTION: An input device 100 is configured to identify an operation (a first, second or third operation) that has been performed to a touch panel 102 and that relates to the selection of a region, identifies any one of the processes selected by a user according to the identified operation, and carries out the process. This enables the user to perform input operations with a method desired by the user, without performing troublesome switching operations.
