<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for diagnosis of catalyst temperature conditions capable of diagnosing the temperature conditions of an electrically heated catalyst having an NTC characteristic in which electric resistance drops with temperature increase so as to determine whether or not it is in temperature nonuniform conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for diagnosis of catalyst temperature conditions applied to a catalyst (EHC) of an electric heating type generating heat by energization out of the catalysts cleaning an exhaust of an internal combustion engine and having a characteristic in which electric resistance drops with temperature increase includes: a supply electric power acquirer S11 for acquiring an electric power integration value ΣP0 supplied to the catalyst as a supply electric power value; an actual temperature acquirer S16 for acquiring the catalyst temperature T as an actual temperature detection value; and a temperature condition determiner S30 for determining whether the catalyst is in the temperature nonuniform conditions due to local heating in the catalyst on the basis of comparison between the electric power integration value ΣP0 and the catalyst temperature T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
