<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus at low cost, capable of reducing a curling tendency of a transfer belt even when left unattended with a plug out for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a tension roller 20 arranged in an area B, where an imaging unit as an image forming means is arranged in a moving surface area of a transfer belt 8 between a drive roller 12 and a cleaning device 10. Since a tension of the belt is always controlled with the tension roller 20, a curling tendency of the transfer belt 8 is reduced at a portion wound with a photosensitive body 1 even when the belt is in a resting state for a long period in an unattended condition of the apparatus for the long period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
