<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy generator output specifications for each destination by an alternator with a single output band and to make a generator output voltage automatically adjustable in accordance with fluctuations in load. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter type generator 1 includes the alternator 3, a rectifier 51, a step-up/step-down DC-DC converter 52, and an inverter 53. The inverter type generator further includes a comparison part 12 that compares an output voltage of the alternator 3 with a reference voltage. Based on comparison by the comparison part 12, a control part 8 makes the DC-DC converter 52 execute step-down operation when the output voltage of the alternator 3 is larger than the reference voltage, and makes the DC-DC converter 52 execute step-up operation when the output voltage of the alternator 3 is smaller than the reference voltage. When the output voltage of the alternator 3 is equal to the reference voltage, the control part 8 executes PWM control for driving the DC-DC converter 52 at an intermediate value of a duty ratio adjustment range, making the duty ratio larger than the intermediate value during the step-up operation and making the duty ratio smaller than the intermediate value during the step-down operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
