<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit that drives an organic light-emitting element by alternating current in an active matrix organic light-emitting display. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit of a pixel 100 comprises a switching TFT that charges a capacitor in accordance with a data signal and a current controlling TFT 102 that controls light emission of an organic light-emitting element 105 in accordance with voltage from the capacitor. The circuit of the pixel 100 further comprises an element 109 that has a rectifying characteristic.
