<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel control device for internal combustion engine that achieves premixed compression ignition combustion which is stable from low-load to high-load operating conditions, by forming a mixture gas with less cyclic variation. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel control device includes: an injector 9 for injecting petroleum 8 into a combustion chamber 1, a swirl control valve 71 to form a swirl air flow in the combustion chamber 1 by choking one of two suction pipes 12 connected with a suction valve 11, a dividing plate 73 to divide the other suction pipe 12 into two segments in the longitudinal direction, an injector 14 to inject a second fuel 13 of high anti-knock characteristics into the divided outer suction pipe 12, a means to achieve 6-cycle combustion comprising a suction stroke, compressive temperature raising stroke, fuel mixing stroke, compression stroke, combustion stroke, and exhaust stroke while a crank shaft makes three turns, a means to detect the operating condition of the engine, a means to determine, on the basis of the detection result of the operating condition detection means, whether to inject only the petroleum 8, to form stratified mixture gas of the petroleum 8 and the second fuel 13, or to perform uniform mixing, and a means to decide a mixing rate of the petroleum 8 to the second fuel 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
