<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation coating superconducting wire having high reliability and a method of manufacturing an insulation coating superconducting wire having a long length and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: In an insulating coating superconducting wire in which an insulating layer coated on the whole periphery of a flat-square superconducting wire is formed of resin tape, the resin tape is adhesively attached to the superconducting wire through an adhesive layer provided to at least one surface of the resin tape.
