<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of preventing an inner column from being slipped out of an outer column even if a telescopic clamp of the inner column with respect to the outer column is released. <P>SOLUTION: When an operating lever 54 is erroneously rotated in a fastening release direction while the steering device is mounted to a vehicle body 41 after the completion of assembling of the steering device, a column fastening bracket 6 and the outer column 11 are brought into free states with respect to side plates 62 and 63 of a vehicle body mounting bracket 3 and the inner column 10. When the outer column 11 and the column fastening bracket 6 likely slip out of the inner column 10, a long groove 33 of a connecting portion 32 of the vehicle body mounting bracket 3 is caught by a hexagonal column-shaped head of a bolt 212, and thereby the outer column 11 and the column fastening bracket 6 can be prevented from being slipped out of the inner column 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
