PURPOSE: A method for preparing N-trifluoroacetoxy succinimide is provided to enhance reactivity and to protect functional groups. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing N-trifluoroacetoxy succinimide of formula I comprises a step of reacting N-hydroxy succinimide of formula III with trifluoroacetic acid(CF_3COOH) under the presence of triethyl amine and trichloromethyl chlorofomate of formula II. The reaction temperature is 0-35 degrees Celsius. A reaction solvent is chloroform, dichloromethane, or toluene.
