<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution type optical fiber sensor capable of measuring distortion or temperature with high-sensitivity and high accuracy, while keeping high spatial resolution. <P>SOLUTION: The distribution type optical fiber sensor comprises an optical fiber 10, a Rayleigh measuring means 11 measuring Rayleigh frequency shift amount Δνr on the basis of the distortion or the temperature of the optical fiber 10 by using a Rayleigh scattering phenomenon, and a calculating means calculating the distortion or the temperature of the optical fiber 10 from the Rayleigh frequency shift amount Δνr. The Rayleigh measuring means 11 has an optical pulse emitting means 13 producing an optical pulse using a spectra scattering method, and making the optical pulse incident into the optical fiber 10; a matching filter 551 carrying out pulse compression corresponding to the spectra scattering method to an emitting light from the optical fiber 10; and a detecting means 560 detecting light related to the Rayleigh scattering phenomenon on the basis of the light compressed by the matching filter 551. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
