The invention relates to methods for cell (re)selection within a heterogeneous mobile communication network. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a mobile terminal and a mobility management entity that are performing these methods. The inventions suggests a cell (re)selection scheme, which is providing a mechanism to determine at a mobile terminal whether it is remaining within a micro-cell's footprint or whether it can be expected that the mobile terminal only perceives a high signal quality from the micro cell for a short time duration. In the first case, the mobile terminal may advantageously decide to camp on the micro cell, i.e. to select the micro cell as its new serving cell, while in the latter case the mobile terminal should preferably stay camping in its current serving cell, which is typically a macro cell.
