PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of the solar cell by using an antireflection layer with a passivation effect and an antireflection effect. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor substrate includes a first conductive type impurity and metal impurity. An emitter unit(120) includes a second conductive type and forms a p-n junction with a semiconductor substrate. A first electrode is connected to the emitter unit. A second electrode is connected to the semiconductor substrate. Three recesses(191,192,193) are arranged on one side of the semiconductor substrate with a triangular shape. An antireflection unit(130) is located on the emitter unit and includes a first antireflection layer and a second antireflection layer.
