<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption which is conventionally wasted to control 3D eyeglasses while television is not viewed though a viewer wears a 3D video viewing device. <P>SOLUTION: The 3D video viewing device comprises: means which receives a first signal outputted from the vicinity of the 3D video viewing device to detect whether 3D video can be viewed; and means which measures an eyeball movement of a person using the 3D video viewing device to detect whether the 3D video can be viewed with the eyes of the person.
