<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TDMA communication device having one DSP which has a technique capable of executing a loop back test. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device comprises a DSP 1, a switch 10, a transmission circuit 41, a reception circuit 42, a reception detection unit 43, and a determination unit 44. The reception detection unit 43 detects the signal inputted from the transmission circuit 41 to the reception circuit 42 via the switch 10 and output from the reception circuit 42, to detect the level of the signal.
