PURPOSE: A method for controlling a dryer is provided to calculate operating time of an effective filter assembly according to the amount of laundry, a type of dried object, and a level of drying. CONSTITUTION: A lint which is attached to a lint filter is removed through the operation of a filter assembly before drying the dried object(S1). The laundry amount is sensed in a drum(S2). The type of dried object is determined in the drum(S3). Dry rate in which a user inputted is determined. By using the amount of laundry, a type of dried object, and a level of drying, a lint filter operating time is calculated(S4). According to the calculated operating time, the line of the lint filter is removed through the operation of the filter assembly(S5). |
