<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter device for a vehicle which can achieve an illumination rendering even under a vehicle running state while maintaining the visibility of a dial without impairing functions as a meter. <P>SOLUTION: A meter device for a vehicle including an analogue meter section comprises: an illumination area dividing section in which a dial is divided into a plurality of illumination areas illuminated by a light-emitting device and the plurality of illumination areas are divided into a specific illumination area that includes meter's indicated values and other ordinary illumination areas according to a position of a pointer on the dial; an illumination design determination section which determines whether the specific illumination area and the ordinary illumination areas are illuminated in an ordinary illumination design that ordinarily illuminates a plurality of illumination areas, or illuminated in a specific illumination design different from the ordinary illumination design; and a display control section which controls displaying of a plurality of illumination areas by illuminating light-emitting devices according to the determined illumination design. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
