摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake rotor having high strength at a coupling area with a shaft and a high friction coefficient at a contact area with a brake body. <P>SOLUTION: The brake rotor 10 includes a central inner region 12 of a first material composition of a fiber-reinforced thermoset, which has a hub 16 with a concentric through-hole 20 for receiving a shaft, and an annular outer region 14, arranged concentrically on the central inner region, of a second material composition of a fiber-reinforced thermoset, which has a braking unit 24 with a friction surface. The central inner region and the annular outer region are connected to each other with a material bond. The central inner region is formed for transmitting high torque from the annular outer region to the shaft, and the annular outer region is optimized with regard to its tribological properties. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
