The present invention discloses a method and device for transmitting Downlink Assignment Index (DAI), and the method includes that: the DAI is generated in the sequence that downlink related-subframes on secondary component carriers precede the downlink related-subframes on a primary component carrier within a downlink subframe, and the DAI is generated in chronological order of the downlink subframes among different downlink subframes (201); the generated DAI is transmitted on the Physical Downlink Control CHannel (PDCCH) (202). The method and device for transmitting DAI provided by the present invention can make it convenient for a user equipment to detect, using the DAI field included in the PDCCH of the primary component carrier, whether there are any PDCCHs lost on the secondary component carriers in the subframe. Moreover, the present invention also provides a method and device for feeding back response information.
