<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color chart creating method, along with a color chart, for creating the color chart considering the layout of color patches so that an amount of use of an ink for each row and each column becomes constant, capable of facilitating adjustment of the ink supply amount in the printing of a color chart for use in studying of printing property or profile creation, and also obtaining a printed matter with less variation in ink film thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The color chart creating method includes: a first steps of dividing the color chart to be formed into two or three blocks; a second step of dividing the color patches into two color patch groups based on a deviation between a reference value calculated beforehand and the color patch; a third step of forming pairs color patches so that the deviation between the color patch among the color patch groups divided in the second step and the reference value is reduced; and a fourth step of, in determining the color patches to be arranged in the respective blocks, calculating the total dot area ratio deviation between the reference value and the already arranged color patch, selecting the color patch having the smallest deviation and arranging the selected color patch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
