<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat a nitrogen-containing compound present in waste water using a catalyst effective in preventing the generation of nitrate nitrogen and/or nitrite nitrogen. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed a catalyst for treating a nitrogen-containing compound, including at least two kinds of oxides or composite oxides of metal selected from the group consisting of titanium, iron, zirconium, cobalt, nickel, cerium, lanthanum, manganese, yttrium, indium, zinc, and bismuth, as a component (A); and at least one kind selected from the group consisting of silver, platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium, and aurum, as a component (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
